1. Travel Documents and Identification
It is the sole responsibility of each traveler to obtain and carry a valid passport (with at least six months of validity remaining after the end of the trip), visas (when required based on nationality), and any other documents required by the competent authorities.
The traveler must ensure that the name, date of birth, and gender on all identification documents match exactly the details on tickets and booking records. Children and infants also require valid travel documents.
Upon receiving travel documents, it is the traveler’s responsibility to review and verify all information. Any discrepancies must be reported to Immersion Peru immediately for correction. Immersion Peru is not responsible for losses resulting from incorrect or incomplete travel documentation.
2. Entry and Exit Requirements
It is the traveler’s sole responsibility to verify and comply with the entry and exit requirements of each country included in the itinerary, including transit countries. This may include, but is not limited to, visas, permits, vaccinations, and restrictions related to past or current criminal records.
Immersion Peru staff cannot provide legal or immigration advice, and it is considered the traveler’s responsibility to contact consulates or immigration authorities directly for accurate information.
Immersion Peru is not responsible if a traveler is denied entry to or exit from any country.
3. Risks and Safety
Traveling to certain destinations may involve risks. Immersion Peru encourages travelers to stay informed of official government travel advisories and notices prior to booking and traveling.
By offering travel services to specific destinations in Peru, Immersion Peru does not represent or warrant that travel to such areas is risk-free, and shall not be liable for costs, damages, injuries, delays, or losses resulting from such travel. Participation in the trip constitutes acceptance of all associated risks by the traveler.
4. Payments and Cancellations
Unless otherwise agreed during the booking process, final payment must be made prior to departure or the start of the tour. If payment is not received by the specified deadline, reservations are subject to cancellation and deposits will be forfeited.
In some cases, payments are non-refundable once a booking is confirmed and paid. Cancellation requests must be submitted to Immersion Peru in writing. Penalties for cancellation are outlined in Section 5.
Refunds, when applicable, will be processed in the same method and currency of the original payment, minus any applicable bank or administrative fees.
No refunds will be issued for no-shows, unused services, or partially used services.
5. Cancellations, Changes, and Refunds
As Immersion Peru’s prices are based on contracted rates, there will be no refund for any unused portion of the tour. Some group tours require a minimum number of travelers; if the number of participants falls below the required minimum, a surcharge may apply, or the tour may be canceled, rescheduled, or modified.
If Immersion Peru cancels a service for internal reasons (not related to force majeure), 100% of the payment will be refunded.
If Immersion Peru cancels a service due to force majeure (e.g., natural disasters, transport closures, strikes, civil disturbances, government orders, accidents, illness, quarantine, or weather conditions), refunds will be made after deducting administrative and non-refundable supplier costs. Alternatively, a credit may be issued for future travel with Immersion Peru, valid for 12 months.
If the traveler cancels 60 days or more before the start of services, a 100% refund will be issued, minus penalties for non-refundable tickets, supplier cancellations, and bank fees.
If the traveler cancels 30 days or less before the start of services, a 50% refund will be issued, minus penalties for non-refundable tickets, supplier cancellations, and bank fees.
If the traveler requests changes to confirmed arrangements before or during the trip, Immersion Peru will make reasonable efforts to assist. However, not all bookings may be changed, and additional charges may apply.
6. Health, Vaccinations, and Safety Regulations
Each traveler is solely responsible for ensuring compliance with all health requirements prior to travel. This includes obtaining necessary immunizations and carrying valid documentation as required by authorities.
Immersion Peru does not assume responsibility for the accuracy of health or vaccination requirements. Travelers should consult their healthcare provider before booking and traveling.
Note: There are currently no mandatory vaccines required to enter Peru. However, the Ministry of Health recommends:
- Yellow Fever: for travelers visiting jungle areas below 2,300 m.
- Hepatitis A: for all travelers.
- Hepatitis B: for long-term stays or close contact with the local population.
- Chickenpox: for travelers who have never had the illness.
Immersion Peru is not responsible for medical expenses incurred during travel.
7. Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is not included in the cost of the traveler’s itinerary. Comprehensive insurance is strongly recommended to cover situations such as: supplier default, cancellations, delays, medical emergencies, evacuation and repatriation, baggage loss or delay, illness, job loss, accidental death, or disability.
Travelers who choose not to purchase insurance understand and accept full responsibility for any financial losses incurred as a result. Immersion Peru is not liable for such losses.
Immersion Peru staff are not authorized to provide technical advice regarding insurance coverage. For information on policy benefits, exclusions, or suitability, travelers must consult directly with an insurance provider.
8. Jurisdiction and Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Peru. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms & Conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Cusco, Peru.
