Choquequirao Trek

Journey Highlights

  • Explore an Inca complex larger than Machu Picchu
  • Hike through Apurímac Canyon beneath towering Andean peaks

How does heading out on an adventure to a place as incredible as Machu Picchu, but with far fewer tourists, sound?

The Choquequirao Trek takes you to one of the most impressive and least visited Inca sites in Peru. Known as the “Cradle of Gold” in Quechua, Choquequirao sits high above the powerful Apurímac Canyon, surrounded by towering mountains and untouched landscapes.

This archaeological complex is even larger than Machu Picchu, yet only a small portion has been uncovered, making it a true hidden gem.
